Most wounds, minor cuts and scratches heal on their own within two weeks. Sometimes a wound stays open longer due to blood flow problems, infection, diabetes, or poor nutrition. The specially trained clinical team at The Wound Healing Center at Greene Memorial Hospital can help those wounds that just won’t heal on their own .

Healing Chronic Wounds Faster
The Wound Healing Center helps heal chronic wounds faster by treating the cause of the non-healing wound and applying evidence-based, medical and surgical techniques that are outcome focused and cost-effective. Treatments methods include:

  • Advanced wound dressings
  • Vacuum Assisted Closure
  • Bioengineered Tissue
  • Debridement
  • Wraps to decrease lower leg swelling
 

Convenient, Coordinated Care
Patients and their families or caregivers are taught how to care for their wounds at home to further facilitate faster and more permanent healing. The latest approved devices and dressings to promote healing are used.

Teamwork, coordinated care, advanced technologies and excellent outcomes all in one convenient location. The Wound Healing Center is located within Greene Memorial Hospital on the first floor of the Vera Schneider Building.
