What is Oncology?
Oncology is the branch of medicine that is devoted to the study, treatment, cure and palliation of cancer. Medical Oncology deals with the physical, chemical and biological properties of tumors that include their development, diagnosis, treatment and prevention.

What is a Medical Oncologist?
A cancer physician, qualified in internal medicine that has sub-specialized in the whole person assessment of patients with cancer and also in the use of chemotherapy, hormonal therapy and biotherapy.



What is a Surgical Oncologist?

A Surgical Oncologist focuses on the surgical management of malignant neoplasms or tumors. The surgical aspects of cancer include the resection of tumors, biopsies, understanding of pathology and staging.
